Caravan Block.Reclaim Power Demo.

We are giving the voice to indigenous people from Caravan Block on the front of Reclaim Power demonstration. But could anyone translate it and send it to us, that more people could understand the message, please ?
POWER TO THE PEOPLE
AND CLIMATE JUSTICE NOW
ANOTHER WORLD IS POSSIBLE
AND WE KNOW HOW

RECLAIM POWER was the culmination of the weeks meetings, assemblys, actions.... To attempt to create a truly open participative space for a PEOPLES ASSEMBLY to happen outside the Bella centre for people outside and inside to meet, talk, plan, denounce false solutions and bullying by the north and outlawing of dissent, propose alternative solutions, agree on strategies to further build the movement that we believe is the only way to truly bring about climate justice.

1000´s of people marched along the legal route, many many more were not permitted to get there due to more of the police repression we have seen all week as they are used to stop our movement from building spaces, understanding and resistance.

Up to 300 people marched from within the Bella centre to leave to connect with those outside for the PEOPLES ASSEMBLY, but they were prevented from doing so by a police line. They bravely tried to go through but were again forced back by police violence. Hugo Chavez, the president of Venezuala, and Evo Morales, the president of Bolivia, also wished to leave the official COP15 but were also denied the right to leave and freely assemble with the PEOPLES ASSEMBLY, "security reasons" were the excuse for this. We hope and expect today they will make statements and continue to add to the multi ended bridge we are building.

Around 10 people spoke at the press conference, including 2 people who managed to hijack the stage of the final plenary to denounce the false solutions and tell the people inside that the PEOPLES ASSEMBLY was happening outside despite having to hold off very aggressive lines of police violence, dogs, spray and beatings. These 2 activists were not arrested but merely thrown out of the Bella centre and its COP OUT of a Cop15.

TRANSLATION:

First person:
“They are dealing with many issues for the interests of the transnationals and not for the environment and Mother Earth”

Second person:
“This moment is important for the southern movements that have come here, that there is the space for us to manifest our proposals, the solutions that we have. The real solutions that we have in our countries in opposition to the false solutions which have already proven to be false solutions, that they have failed and that they are not solving the global warming problem. We bring the proposal to leave the fossil fuels in the ground, since is the only way to not have any more to burn and thus increase global warming. Also, to rescue the traditional economies from the peasant and indigenous peoples from the south”
