Climate change is gaining speed. Scientists are warning us of famines, floods and flaming forests, should we not change our ways. Producing one calorie of animal protein requires more than 10 times as much fossil fuel input as a calorie of plant protein, so vegan, local, seasonal, organic food is a great way to reduce our carbon footprint. But consumer choices alone can't save us from climate change and Peak Oil. What else can we do?
